Partners Principals Managers Staff Accountants Partners - The partners have full and final responsibility for all services provided to clients by the firm. They are the only persons entitled to sign the firm name or to commit the firm to a particular course of action. Each client has a designated partner responsible for all work performed for that client. Principals - The functions of the principals closely parallel those of the partners except that they do not hold an equity position within the firm and do not sign the firm's name or have the authority to commit the firm to a particular course of action. Managers - Managers assist the partners in either a functional activity within a department, or on engagements to which they are assigned. Some specific responsibilities in this regard are: the preparation of time budgets, the scheduling of personnel to perform field work, the preparation of the engagement memorandum and the planning session, interim field contact, review with staff of problem areas and the overall supervision of the engagement, including the training of personnel in the various techniques used at Goldstein Lieberman & Company LLC. Staff Accountant - Staff are responsible to the managing accountant assigned to the engagement.
